ARE COACHING SERVICES COVERED BY INSURANCE?
Life Coaching and Spiritual Life Coaching are not currently covered by insurance. Coaching is often covered under employers’ professional development benefits and/or under FSA/HSA accounts (wellness). You will need to check with your FSA/HSA accounts. I am happy to provide a receipt of services. If you work for yourself, coaching is often tax-deductible.
ARE ANY OTHER SERVICES COVERED BY INSURANCE?
Check with your FSA/HSA account benefits. Times and minds are changing and wellness services like Vibrational Sound Therapy and Reiki are being recognized more and more by the mainstream as supportive and effective tools for physical and mental health and wellness.
If these services are not currently covered, you can call your insurance and FSA/HSA- carriers and advocate for them to be added to their (and yours!) benefits packages.
I'M A FORMER PSYCHOTHERAPY CLIENT. CAN WE WORK TOGETHER AGAIN?
Hello there! First, I’m so honored that you have found me. I have worked with so many amazing clients over the last decade. I have many many fond memories and know that you are likely included in that bunch. I’ve had many therapy clients reach out since closing the doors to my psychotherapy practice in Seattle and Redmond in 2019, asking if we can work together again. The answer, unfortunately, is no. In accordance with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), this would be considered a dual relationship since I have transitioned my practice to specifically coaching and energy work. Therapy is considered one relationship. Coaching/Energy work would be considered another relationship, making it a dual relationship. Therefore, it would be considered unethical to work together again, by the association’s standards. I am legally bound by these ethical standards, and unfortunately cannot see you or any former psychotherapy clients. You are welcome to refer people to me, which is always a huge compliment, but that is really about it. That said, I support you, think you're amazing and wonderful (all my clients really are!) and know that there are many other incredible therapists, coaches, and energy people that can help and support you. And if you want to send me a message just saying hi, OF COURSE I would love that. You're amazing, keep shining and surround yourself with the community, people, animals, habits, work, projects, and anything else that provides the love and support that helps you shine.
